Rising Interest Rates & Home Inventory should slow
Lane County homes in Eugene, Springfield and surrounding areas have seen their values strongly increase these past 12 months. Two things that have helped home apprecaition both locally and as a whole nationwide: low rates & lack of homes on the market to sell.
In the past several months we have watched an increase in homes coming onto the market for sale- though the increase hasn't kept up with the pace of homes being sold. And now in recent days home mortgage rates have been on the rise, we believe that if this trend continues- home appreciation will level off to minimal increases allowing the housing market to pause and catch its breath...
